Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met His
Majesty Abdullah II, King of The
Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Head of the Ukrainian Parliament greeted his distinguished guest and emphasized that Ukraine highly appreciates efforts of Abdullah II aimed at implementation of the crucial political and social reforms, since "it is fair to say that Jordan is considered to be one of the leaders in the Arabic world in the sphere of democracy and liberalization of the national economy." "Today we require a civilized dialogue to support peace in the modern complicated world", stressed V. Lytvyn.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine attaches great importance to the interstate documents signed in the framework of the official visit of His Majesty. He calls for strengthening the bilateral inter-parliamentary relations. V. Lytvyn called for the dialogue between the parliamentary committees. "I rely on your support, since we are ready for such a dialogue", he stated.
His Majesty Abdullah II, King of The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, expects the inter-state cooperation to develop. He stressed the importance of the inter-parliamentary dialogue, since the cooperation will boost bilateral cooperation in different spheres.

Lytvyn declared that Ukraine highly appreciates the economic component of the relations
with Jordan and is interested
in its further
strengthening and development of
mutually beneficial cooperation to
implement essential investment projects. Thus, the Head
of the Parliament
regards political stability
in Ukraine and its stable
economic growth as the important
factors for the successful implementation of different projects.
He expressed content with the appropriate level of the social connection between our states and stressed that "there is a great potential in the educational sphere." He reminded that more than three thousand of Jordan students are studying in the Ukrainian higher education establishments.
"I am convinced that our relations will be sustainable, developing on a qualitatively new level", stated V. Lytvyn.
